TERMINATION DAY

So it happened. Last July I was called into an office for the dreaded termination that I knew was coming any day. The only thing I remember was asking them "What the F took you so long!"

I was at this firm for 16 years and created the back office operations department. I hired talented people who have since moved up in the firm to the trading desk. I gave them all careers. Then when the firm sold back in 2005? things began to change for the worse. My boss, the president and founder, left so I did not have any protection. New management was cut throat. People who used to work for me stabbed me in my back. So like I said I expected to be terminated and I welcomed it.

With this said let me say that the firm took care of me and my family. They gave me 36 weeks pay. They gave me a bonus 6 months later. They gave me a great letter of recommendation. They gave me my FREEDOM!!!

So if I was laid off 9 months ago what have I been doing? LIVING. I will explain in my next post....
